Description: Jairzinho started his career with Brazilian club side Botafogo where he made is debut at just 15 years old. Initially, Jairzinho was forced to play on the left wing as the player’s hero and former great Garrincha played in his favoured position on the right. Following the retirement of Garrincha after the 1966 World Cup Jairzinho was moved to right wing for both club and country which is where the player achieved his greatest success.
