The Copa Sudamericana (also known as Copa Nissan Sudamericana) is an international football cup competition played annually by clubs of CONMEBOL and, since 2005, from CONCACAF. Mexican club Pachuca rallied to a 2-1 victory over Chilean side Colo Colo on December 13, 2006 in the second leg of a finals series to win the Copa Sudamericana and frustrate the more than 60,000 in attendance at Nacional Stadium. The Tuzos became the first Mexican club to win South America’s second-most prestigious club tournament after Copa Libertadores. The clubs played to a 1-1 tie at Pachuca two weeks ago.
